During your first appointment, you should plan for up to a 60-90 minute visit. This will provide time to discuss your history, current situation and difficulties, ways you have coped, and how the challenges you face are impacting your life. It will be important to learn more about you and what your goals are for therapy. This will help me get to know you as a unique individual to see if I can help and if you feel like it is a good fit. It is important that you feel comfortable with your therapist.  Be sure to ask any questions you need to feel comfortable in developing a working therapeutic relationship. If I am not the best match for you, I can provide a number of referrals as I know many providers in the community. Additional sessions are scheduled for 45-60 minutes (depending on insurance plan) and may be weekly or biweekly based on your schedule and the plan we discuss.
